Founded in 1987, Regen, Benz & MacKenzie, CPAs, PC helps to protect your assets and provides effective tax planning that well-positions you for growth. We strive to find innovative ways to meet our clients' changing needs. Prior to year-end, we also discuss tax law changes and new ways to help leverage saving opportunities. About Our Experts

Each member of our team is an experienced accounting and finance professional focusing on helping our clients make informed decisions that affect their financial well-being. All of our principals also have between 15 and 25 years’ experience in the field. You can rely on every member of the RBM team to be thorough, reliable and knowledgable.

William A. Regen, Partner - Mr. Regen became a Partner of RBM in 1987 after successfully running his own CPA firm for 3 years. Prior to this he has over 8 years of experience working for such firms as Sommer, Abraham & Gross, CPA's and Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. Mr. Regen received his Juris Doctorate Degree from St. John's University School of Law and his Bachelor of Science Degree from Brooklyn College of the City Univ. of New York. Besides being a member of AICPA & NYS Society, Mr. Regen is also a member of the New York Bar Association and has been a practicing Attorney since 1983.

Robert C. Benz, Partner - Mr. Benz became a partner of RBM in 1987 and has a Masters of Business Administration focusing on Taxation from Baruch College. Mr. Benz has been a certified Public Accountant in New York since 1984. His many years of experience includes working for Price Waterhouse & Co., Intercontinental Hotels in New York and KPMG. Since 1986 Mr. Benz has been a member of AICPA & NYS Society.

Susan M. MacKenzie, Partner -
Ms. MacKenzie joined the firm in November 1992 as a manager and was made a partner in 1997. She previously worked for George Sullivan, CPA, and Sullivan & Preston, CPA's in Southold between 1986 and 1992. Ms. MacKenzie received a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Dowling College, Oakdale in 1986, and has been a certified public accountant since 1988. Ms. MacKenzie is also a member of AICPA & NYS Society.

Sal Marra, Partner -
Mr. Marra is a CPA and his areas of expertise are in real estate, retail sales, manufacturing, medical practices and facilities as well as experience in a variety of other industries. He is a registered Quickbooks advisor and assists small businesses with implementing and training on Quickbooks software. Mr. Marra is a graduate of Queens College of the City University of New York (January 1989) with a B.S. in accounting and has been a licensed C.P.A. since 1991. He also is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Monica Friedrich, Partner -
Ms. Friedrich graduated from Baruch College in 1991, Cum Laude with a BBA. She joined the firm in 1991 as a staff accountant and became a CPA in 1994. She became a partner of the firm in 2004 and has worked for the firm for 19 years. She works with various clients, including those in real estate and manufacturing.
