Founded in 1987, Regen, Benz & MacKenzie, CPAs, is a Certified Public Accounting firm licensed in New York. We provide audit, tax and advisory services. We work closely with our clients, helping them to mitigate risks and to grasp opportunities. We offer a broad range of services for business owners, executives, and independent professionals.

William A. Regen
Partner
Mr. Regen became a Partner of RBM in 1987 after successfully running his own CPA firm for 3 years. Prior to this he has over 8 years of experience working for such firms as Sommer, Abraham & Gross, CPA’s and Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. Mr. Regen received his Juris Doctorate Degree from St. John’s University School of Law and his Bachelor of Science Degree from Brooklyn College of the City Univ. of New York. Besides being a member of AICPA & NYS Society, Mr. Regen is also a member of the New York Bar Association and has been a practicing Attorney since 1983.
Susan M. MacKenzie
Partner
Ms. MacKenzie joined the firm in November 1992 as a manager and was made a partner in 1997. She previously worked for George Sullivan, CPA, and Sullivan & Preston, CPA’s in Southold between 1986 and 1992. Ms. MacKenzie received a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Dowling College, Oakdale in 1986, and has been a certified public accountant since 1988. Ms. MacKenzie is also a member of AICPA & NYS Society.
Sal Marra
Partner
Mr. Marra is a CPA and his areas of expertise are in real estate, retail sales, manufacturing, medical practices and facilities as well as experience in a variety of other industries. He is a registered Quickbooks advisor and assists businesses with implementing and training on Quickbooks software. Mr. Marra is a graduate of Queens College of the City University of New York (January 1989) with a B.S. in accounting and has been a licensed C.P.A. since 1991. He also is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Monica Friedrich
Partner
Ms. Friedrich graduated from Baruch College in 1991, Cum Laude with a BBA. She joined the firm in 1991 as a staff accountant and became a CPA in 1994. She became a partner of the firm in 2004 and has worked for the firm for 19 years. She works with various clients, including those in real estate and manufacturing.
José A. Rosa
Partner
José services a wide range of clients including high net worth individuals, corporations, and partnerships. During his 20 years of diversified tax and accounting experience, José has been assisting his clients on all levels of tax planning and compliance issues in the following areas:
- Business consulting and strategy
- Federal and state tax compliance
- US investments for non-residents
- Entrepreneurs and family-owned businesses
- High-net worth individuals and families
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from The City University of New York at Hunter College; He is Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in the State of New York and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Additionally, José is a native Spanish speaker.
