Charitable Contributions for Next Year

The IRS recently passed a law allowing you to deduct on your 2009 tax return charitable contributions made in 2010. If you make a charitable contribution between January 11, 2010 and March 1, 2010 and it is for the benefit of Haiti you can choose to either deduct the charitable contribution on your 2009 or 2010 tax return.
